The Editorial Board / Rakhmanov Aleksandr Alekseyevich

An academician of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences, Dr.Sc. (Engineering), Professor, an Honoured Science Worker of the Russian Federation, a laureate of state prizes of the Russian Federation, general lieutenant, vice-president of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences, a member of Dissertation Council of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences, a member of Presidium of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences. A deputy CEO – a head of the Department of Government Relations, Grant Programs and Research.

His research interests include system analysis, information processing and military-technical policy. A.A. Rakhmanov is a particitant and a head of the works on creating a Arms Program, working out the main prospects of weapons and military equipment, developing and implementing samples of radar stations. He is an author of papers on creating air defense systems, creating an Air Arms Program.

A.A. Rakhmanov was born on January 22, 1948 in Yakutsk. He has finished the Minsk Higher Engineering School of Anti-Aircraft Missile Defense in 1971 with a gold medal.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

1971-1980 – worked in the 2nd Central Scientific-Research Institute of the Ministry of Defence. He provided military and scientific support for the works on developing and test operations battle algorithms of missile warning system command center.

1980-1984  – worked in the 45th Central Scientific-Research Institute of the Ministry of Defence.

1984-2002  – worked in the 46th Central Scientific-Research Institute of the Ministry of Defence and has become a Head of the Institute. A.A. Rakhmanov has created a scientific school on a methodology of balanced development of Russian arms system.

2002-2006  – worked as a Deputy Head of Air Armament on research.

С 2006г. – worked as a Deputy CEO, a Head of scientific programs and research complex in Corporation “RTI Sistemy”.

Since 2009 – a Deputy CEO , a Head of the Department of Government Relations, Grant Programs and Research.

A.A. Rakhmanov is a Chairman of the Expert Council of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation on military science and engineering.

He is an author of more than 350 scientific papers.
