Oleg Kuznetsov is research scientist and a good specialist in the field of artificial intelligence and logical management.

He is a Chairman of a Scientific Council of the Russian Association of Artificial Intelligence (since 2000), a member of an Artificial Intelligence Metodology Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Science.

Dr.Sc. (Engineering), Professor, an academician of RANS.

Oleg Kuznetsov was born on March 28, 1936 in Moscow.
 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Oleg Kuznetsov has graduated from the Moscow State University in 1958 (Faculty of Philosophy) and in 1966 (Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. In 1965 he passed Ph.D. defense in the Institute of Automatics and Telecontrol of the USSR Academy of Sciences. In 1983 he finished his doctorate degree in the Institute of Control Sciences of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

Since 1958 onwards Oleg Kuznetsov has been working in the Institute of Control Sciences.

Since 1991 he has been a chief of the laboratory of discrete processes and control systems intellectualization methods in the Institute of Control Sciences (a student of M.A. Gavrilov)

He is also a Professor of Advanced Mathematics subdepartment in the Faculty of Economics in the Higher School of Economics (Moscow).

Oleg Kuznetsov is the first who stated theoretical basics of logical functions and finite automata software implementation and created a general theory of finite automata languages which can help to compare languages according to their  expressivity and efficiency.

For the last few years he has been working in the field of complex social, economic and political systems cognitive simulation.

Oleg Kuznetsov has different awards for his scientific works in the field of Computer Science and Control Sciences, 5 grants of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (1994, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2005), 2 Russian-Belorusian grants (2000-02).

Oleg Kuznetsov is a member of Editorial Boards in the following journals:

He is an author of more than 110 papers including a book “Discrete methematics for an engineer”.
