Dr. Sc. (Engineering), Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, a Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, a Professor of Kazan State Technical University.

EDUCATION

Suleymanov Dzh.Sh. was born in 1955. He graduated from the Kazan State University in 1977, the Department of Mechanics and Mathematics. He has become PhD in Engineering in 1986 and a Dr.Sc. (Engineering) in 2000 in Kazan State University. He has become a professor of Kazan State University, head of the Information Systems Department in Kazan Federal University, vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, the head of R&D Institute “Prikladnaya Semiotika” of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, vice-president of the Russian Association of Artificial Intelligence, a member of ECCAI – European Coordinating Committee for AI, a member of Writers Guild of Republic of Tatarstan.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Dzhavdet Suleymanov is a famous scientist who works effectively in several fields of science: artificial intelligence, social education, computer education al technologies. He developed a theory of trainee’s answers automated diagnosis on natural language and proposed methods of building systems based on pragmatically oriented models. He also participated in creating electronic multimedia tutorials that are extensively used in the schools of the Republic. Dzhavdet Suleymanov directed creating the software complex of tatarian localization of computer systems. He also developed a unique educational complex “Selet” for social and psychological adaptation and development of gifted children.

Dzhavdet Suleymanov has more than 165 publications including 3 monographs, 2 term dictionary on computer science, English-Tatarian-Russian dictionary of terms on computer science, 15 study guides. He is a co-author of 5 electronic multimedia tutorials.

Dzhavdet Suleymanov is one of the developers and performers of the Republic’s national project “Education”, information systems development program in the Republic of Tatarstan, government program on learning, maintenance and developing languages of the nations of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Dzhavdet Suleymanov is awarded the honorary certificate of the Ministry of Education of Russian Federation (2002), the anniversary medal “In memory of the 1000-anniversary of Kazan”. He won M.Jalil Republic’s Prize for achievements in the field of social and psychological adaptation of gifted children (2003). Best paper award for the Symposium “Cognitive Rationality, Relativity, and Clarity” to the contribution “Natural Cognitive Mechanisms in the Tatar Language” in Vienna, 2010.

Dzhavdet Suleymanov is also a member of international editorial board of journals “Programmnye produkty i sistemy” (Software & Systems), “Iskusstvennyy intellekt i prinyatie resheniy” (Artificial intelligence and decision-making), “Obrazovatelnye tekhnologii i obshchestvo” [Education technologies and society], international digital journal “Peredovye tekhnologii v obrazovanii” [Modern Technologies in Education].
