DrSc., Prof. Vladimir F. Khoroshevsky, currently is a head of department in Dorodnicyn Computing Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow). Graduated from Moscow Physical-Engineering Institute (University) in 1971 with M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics & Engineering (Master Degree Thesis: "Linguistic Approach to the Analysis of 3D Scenes"). Holds PhD. Degree in Software Engineering & Computer Science from Moscow Physical-Engineering Institute (University) in 1976 (Doctoral Dissertation: "Meta Algorithmic Approach to Compilers' Design and Development"), DrSc. Degree in Software Engineering & Computer Science from Institute of Software Systems RAS (Second Dissertation: "The Methodology and Technology of Intelligent Systems' Software Development"). Professor of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University).
In 1998 received Russian President’s grant as an outstanding scientist. In 1999 was awarded with an honor diploma of Russian Academy of Sciences.
Member of Scientific Board of Russian Association on Artificial Intelligence. Member of Program Committees of International Conferences and Workshops AIMSA, JKBSE, RANLP. Member of Program Committees of all national Conferences in Artificial Intelligence Domain.
Member of Editorial Board of RAS Scientific Journal “Artificial Intelligence & Decision Making” and International Scientific Journal “Software & Systems”.
Author of more than 150 publications, including 5 monographs and 5 training aids.
He has given presentations at SemTech2007/San Jose, ESTC08/Vienna, Workshop RANLP’2009. Invited speaker for AIS-ADM-07, CAI-2008 conferences and International Conference “NATO ARW on Web Intelligence and Security” (2009).
Research interests: software of AI-systems, knowledge representation, natural language processing, information extraction, multiagent systems, semantic technologies, Semantic Web, sciencetometrics, bibliometrics, map of science, centres of excellence.
