Author guidelines


The Editorial Board reserves the right to distribute the circulation of the finished edition by any available means, including the electronic Journal. Author's fees are not paid, manuscripts are not returned. The decision to publish an article is made by the Editorial Board members and the scientific editors of the upcoming issue.

After the Editorial Board approves an article, it is published free of charge within a year.

Attention to authors!

The journal Software & Systems publishes scientific and scientific-practical materials describing new information technologies, academic and applied research results in computer science. There are also thematic issues on artificial intelligence, automated design systems, software development technology and protection systems, as well as special issues devoted to the research and development of individual universities, research institutes, scientific organizations.

Since 2007 Software & Systems has been included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific editions to publish the principal research results of doctoral (candidate’s) dissertations.

The Editorial Board accepts only original materials that meet the editorial requirements and correspond to Journal scope.

Publication conditions 

Approved articles are published within a year from an approval date, and those sent for revision are published within a year from the date when remarks were eliminated and a paper was approved.

Publication materials should be sent to the editorial office by e-mail red@cps.tver.ru with all support documentation.

All sent papers should correspond to formal editorial requirements.

It is necessary to indicate the group of HAC specialties in the paper.

It is obligatory to comply with the author's contract (public offer). Correspondence with the authors is only via e-mail.

A set of documents should contain a paper, an author's note. After paper is approved, it is necessary to send an expert report on the possibility of open publication of the material. It is obligatory to familiarize with the editorial requirements when writing and submitting a paper.

Review procedures

All articles submitted to the Editorial office are subject to mandatory double blind review within a month of receipt.

Copyright

The journal publishes articles considering the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 License.

The Journal content is free for all users.

Users are allowed to read, copy, distribute freely, print and reference to full texts, remix, modify, and create new material based on articles, i.e. use articles for any purpose including commercial ones. To this end, there must be proper attribution, a link to the license and indicated changes.

Changes may be reasonable, assuming that the licensor approved them. 

The license does not grant the right to apply legal restrictions or technological measures that create legal obstacles for other users to do any things allowed by the license.

Privacy Statement

Authors' personal data are used exclusively for the purposes stated by the Journal and are not distributed to third parties.

Publication fee

Reviewing, editing, layout and publication is free of charge. The Journal is sponsored by the Publisher, subscription revenues and other sponsorship.

Archiving

The archiving policy is aimed at preserving the journal data as following:

  • storaging on the Journal website in PDF without restrictions, as well as on the Publisher's server.
  • placing in the Scientific Electronic Library (eLIBRARY.RU).
  • uploading metadata to the CrossRef with assigning DOI.

Article retraction

The Editorial Board of the journal behaves in accordance with the international standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), including the following regarding publication retraction policy.

The retraction of an article is the removal of an already published article from a Journal. Retractions may occur because of gross violations of publication ethics (plagiarism, falsification of data or results, etc.).

The purpose of retraction is ethics compliance and ensuring data reliability.

The retraction results are placed in the printed and electronic versions of the Journal and stored in the archive.

The fact of retraction is reported to all bases that index the Journal.
