A program written in the language of the computer algebra system MAPLE is presented to calculate the spectrum of eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions of Sturm–Liouville differential equations. In the program the iteration schemes are realized on the base of a continuous analog of Newton’s method with accuracy O(h4), where h is the step size of the uniform grid.

Issues of modeling effects from heavy charged particles in CMOS structures are declared. Formulas of calculation of charge if sensitive elements of ICs are affected by heavy charged particles are given. Presented methods allow calculating the energy of falling particles, the form of pulse of diffusion part of ionization current and the dependence of captured charge from the time post hitting of particles for every specified value of linear leakage.
