The article considers discrete-event modeling and presents its distinctive features comparing to other types of modeling. The main difference is a lack of time reference, i.e. it is enough to keep the sequence of events, and thus the time interval between events isn\'t important. The authors give the definition of a discrete-event system model and add model time, which reproduce the course of events. The article solves the important problem of the event list generation in various ways: object-based and the process-based execution of events. Both ways are considered in detail with the illustration, algorithm and a program implementation element. Events can be united into groups called processes. The process-based modeling is more difficult than object-based as there is a process scheduler. The article also considers the assessment of software reliability based on discrete-event approach. This approach is based on the idea of software reliability growth. Bug scanning is modeled by a stochastic point process. A detected bug is eliminated, thereby the software becomes more reliable. Modeling has two parts: generation of the processes, which imitate introducing bugs in the software, and an assessment of component software system reliability. The paper considers options of calculating bug probability depending on program structure: consecutive, branching, cyclic and parallel. Each option has an illustration and a computation scheme. The cyclic scheme of a software component has the computation scheme of a consecutive component as it is some kind of same-type repetitions of a software component consecutive structure.

Solving calculus problems using multiprocessor computing systems refers to a certain data transfer programming interface. The most well-known interface is the message passing interface (MPI), which defines the standard of API functions to transfer data between nodes for end-user programs. This paper presents MPI implementation for SoC 1890VM6IA developed in SRISA RAS. It is a base for multipurpose multiprocessor computing systems, nodes of which can be connected through high speed RapidIO channels. To implement it we took MPICH, which is the most widespread library of MPI, and Linux kernel that proved itself as the best solution for supercomputing. MPICH basic configuration includes different network modules, which implement API for specific transport drivers: tcp (Ethernet TCP/IP), ib (Infiniband), mx (Myrinet eXpress) and others. Using network module mx, which is well-fitting for RapidIO architecture, gave the opportunity to focus only on the development of the Linux driver for RapidIO controller. The features of RapidIO controller of 1890VM6IA, MPI interface and the idea of using RapidIO channel for purposes other than MPI in Linux, allowed implementing a message passing stack with the some degree of universality using RapidIO channel without unnecessary data copying. In the end of the paper there are the results of different MPI test programs such as NAS Parallel Benchmarks and OSU Micro-Benchmarks for 4 nodes using the RapidIO channels. The author made a conclusion and summarized the results using RapidIO controller of 1890VM6IA SoC as a transport facility for MPI.

During last 20 years computational fluid dynamics (CFD) proved itself as an instrument to solve problems with one or more phenomena, such as liquid flow, heat and mass transfer, chemical reaction. This article is devoted to the general approach to modeling, scaling-up and optimization of bioreactors using CFD. One of the steps the proposed approach is based on PIV (particle image velocimetry), which helps to determine particles velocities from their images. As an example the paper considers the process of modeling, scaling-up and optimization of lactic acid production by Lactobacillus casei bacteria in a stirred-tank batch bioreactor. The mechanical stress aspect (agitation rate) which influences on bacteria viability and productivity has been taken into account during the calculation. The maximum dissipation rate has been selected as a characteristic of mechanical stress. The authors defined the sizes of turbulence characteristic eddies in bioreactor that negatively affected bacteria. The authors have introduced the concept of stress zone specific volume, which has been used to define the limiting agitation rate in this bioreactor. The approach can be used for scaling-up and searching of optimal operation conditions.

The paper considers the problem of creating an approach to testing management system (TMS) development control as a part of software development business process management system in a project company. The authors suggest to separate software testing process as an independent business process, so software development management system has a testing management subsystem. The paper reviews the features of testing management in typical software development models. There are the variants of basic testing processes implementation: Review (R); Test Design (D); Test Execution (E); Test Report (O). The article shows the role of TMS development evaluation in the development management processes, and provides the approach to its evaluation. The approach is based on TMS development evaluation for different software development models, expert evaluation in particular. Classification of project management maturity stages is used as a methodological basis. The paper considers the features and applicability of both direct and multi-criteria expert evaluation. The authors suggest displaying a verbal description of TMS maturity stages as a set of private quantitative criteria; some of them can be determined by instrumental methods. To evaluate the others it is proposed to make multi-criteria assessment with the assistance of field experts according to each criterion. The paper considers the variants of single-level algorithms to determine a development level global criteria based on multiple assessments of partial criteria: calculation of the length of the vector in Euclidean space and determining the amount of the weighted assessments of partial criteria. The paper proposes a two-level ordering of the partial criteria and corresponding algorithms for processing their set of estimates, as well as a visualization of the results of the TMS development evaluation. The described approach allows assessing the software TMS maturity and managing its development.

The article considers the problems of creating high-temperature electronic components for oil, gas, aviation and space industries. It also describes the ways to develop Intelligent Wells (IW) systems. Creation of domestic Intelligent Wells systems would solve not only an import substitution problem; it would also allow reducing the equipment cost significantly. Thus, the cost of electronically controlled valves near perforations of an Intelligent Wells could be reduced from several hundreds of thousands dollars to several tens of thousands. The space industry has similar problems. The price of Western space-related computer can reach half a million euros, and our domestic analogue can be 10 times cheaper. In addition to high radiation resistance, flights to deep space will require functioning in a wide temperature range. The paper considers basic SRISA chips for space applications with functioning temperature up to +125°C, as well as the ways to increase the temperature range. The paper also shows the possibility of creating high temperature chips based on them. To determine the possibility of using these chips in high temperature applications, there have been conducted some studies of the chips with the operation temperature 150°C. The results showed that are at this temperature the operation frequency falls by 10% on average, increasing of power consumption is insignificant. This indicates that the stocks in the project and manufacturing technology are enough.

27. Halstead-technique based quality assessment framework for academic software products [№4 за 2015 год]

Academic software products (ASP) assessment has a major impact on the acquisition level of complex computer and information disciplines. However, programmetry literature does not make the difference between ASP and professional software products (PSP). ASP projects, alternatively to PSP, do not have immediate achievement-oriented feedback from the market environment. Taking into account the scope of documentation, ASP frontal assessment comes out to be a labor-intensive work without necessary effect, which is a quick or visible accruement in student competency on account of unavoidable instructor’s subjectivity stemming from reliance on their personal experience, knowledge and beliefs. According to the authors, a solution is the creation of taskoriented methods, which are different from the PSP assessment methods, and in the development of specific instructor’s tools for ASP assessment. Due to the created non-biased feedback, such tools can contribute to students’ behavior modification. This will take the form of increased not only ASP quality, but also the quality of the entire project-based education process. The paper presents the development results of such ASP assessment tool. Based on the Halstead technique, an algorithm to compute quantitative performance indices for the ASP created by students in C++ is set forth. The authors suggest an original computer program written in C# as a framework tool. The expected results are supported by the product beta testing and trial operation of the assessment framework.

The paper focuses on the problems of extracting and processing social network data. It considers various numerical characteristics, relations and sets analyzed on the basis of output data. It is important that these characteristics are constructive and can be effectively calculated or built using corresponding algorithms. The data amount in social networks is large. It becomes even larger when using distributed data extraction and processing system. That is why the most significant and difficult problem is to determine data, which could be processed effectively enough and is of interest according to the goals. To solve this task, we suggest using the method of determining the amount of audience influence on individual users. The method is based on the dynamic social impact theory proposed by B. Latané. This approach is also useful for solving the problem of determining the primary source of information. This problem is connected to the opinion leader detection problem. Opinion leaders are popular users who form the opinion of the majority. The paper describes one of the methods of opinion leader detection. The article provides a detailed description of the developed software, which processes information from social networks VKontakte and Twitter. It consists of six modules: extraction module, data processing module, user data change tracking module, data analysis module, graph construction module and data visualization module.

Industrial plants use the following types of technological pipelines heating: trace heating; steam tracing; electric trace heating. Depending on performance specification or environmental conditions one of these types of heating can dominate in the project. About 10–15 % of design works (in wiring design) are technological pipelines heating design. In certain cases almost 40 % of pipelines in the design project should be heated by heat tracers. Sometimes this index can reach 50 %. Thus, about 80 % of heating engineering labor costs is elaboration of heat tracers’ traces in a 3D model. To speed-up engineering of technological pipelines heating by heat tracers the authors developed a software design package for technological pipelines heating implemented in 3D-design AVEVA PDMS. A distinguishing feature of the developed software design package for technological pipelines heating in comparison with other systems is that it is integrated into AVEVA PDMS. It allows executing modeling of technological pipelines heat tracers in 3D models and releasing necessary target documents: isometric drawings of pipelines. Software package functionality is verified when developing technological pipelines water heating by heat tracers of sulfur recovery.

The article considers the possibility of parallel implementation of ant colonies algorithms for block cryptosystems cryptanalysis. The authors specify that a new scientific direction “natural calculations” is relevant, provide the block diagram of DES standard cryptanalysis using a method of ant colonies. The parallel version of cryptanalysis algorithm is described on the basis of a data-logical flow graph, sequence matrices, logical incompatibility and independence. The minimum number of the processors for a cryptanalysisis algorithm is defined on the basis of a technique of defining the number of processors. This technique includes finding of a mutually independent operators maximal set in an independence matrix, consecutive fictive linking in a data-logical graph provided that these links don\'t increase a critical way length. A bioinspired cryptanalysis method application is distinguished by the possibility of using an encryption (decryption) algorithm as an objective function of key assessment defined by genetic operations. Therefore, when using the bioinspired cryptanalysis methods the process of private key definition (for example, at type 2 cryptanalysis) depends not on encryption complexity, but on the bioinspired method itself that provides a sufficient variety of key generation. This proves the relevance of the problem connected with a research on the bioinspired algorithms application possibility for block cryptosystems cryptanalysis.
