1. Cognitive measurements: the future of intelligent systems [№4 за 2013 год]

This paper considers next generation intelligent systems based on measurements and knowledge discovery from sensor data. A comparison between measurement and expert estimation is made. Some sources and types of measurement uncertainty are elicited. Non-classical measurement concepts such as distributed measurements, intelligent measurements, soft measurements are discussed. Some fundamentals of granular measurements theory are formulated. A new concept of cognitive measurements as a hierarchical information granulation process based on the principle of «Measurement-Pragmatic Estimation» unity is proposed. A two-leveled architecture of cognitive measurements is considered. A logical-algebraic approach to data interpretation and analysis on the top level of cognitive measurements is developed. To implement cognitive measurements the notion of cognitive sensors equipped with granular pragmatics is introduced by taking multi-valued and fuzzy logics together with Peirce’s pragmatic maxima. Granular interpretations of multi-sensor data fusion are proposed. Both crisp and fuzzy logical pragmatics for individual sensors and their dyads are constructed using product lattices and bilattices.

2. Ha-cluster of data collection system [№4 за 2013 год]

The article describes the high available cluster (failover cluster) architecture of the software system for automation of data collection procedures. This architecture allows implementing software systems that provide service availability with needed guarantee. The article describes all parts of the software system such as server side and client side software. The paper is focused on server side components of the system, that works in the hight available cluster. The author gives the description of method for distribution packets between different failover cluster nodes. This method eliminates the use of the central failover cluster nodes. The basic idea of the method is that client software automatically selects first available cluster node using special procedure discribed in the article. The author also discusses algorithms for the distribution of packets between cluster nodes within the server software.

3. Cooperative biologically inspired algorithm for unconstrained optimization [№4 за 2013 год]

Heuristic biologically inspired stochastic algorithms of real-parameter multiextremal functions optimization are called “swarm algorithms” and based on an imitation of a collective behavior of different kind of animals. They have demonstrated their effectiveness in many tests and are regularly used in practice. The main problem in these algorithms’ application is the necessity of many parameters fine tuning that predetermines performance effectiveness. Moreover, it is impossible to know in advance which algorithm is better fitted to the problem in hand. This article suggests an approach that simplifies making a decision of the fittest algorithm choice. The approach is based on a competition and cooperation of biologically inspired algorithms when they compete for a common resource and at the same time cooperate sharing useful information. The suggested cooperative approach is described in the article, performance comparison results on a representative set of test functions are presented and results of the approach application in weight coefficients adjustment for artificial neural networks based classifiers are given.

4. formal methods of text authorship attribution and their usage in software products [№4 за 2013 год]

The article represents the survey of authorship attribution methods. It also provides a description of the popular software systems to determine the author's style, focused on the Russian language. There was an attempt to make their comparative analysis, to identify advantages and drawbacks of approaches. An authorship attribution is often based on the assumption that the alleged author is known. The analysis of syntactic, lexical-phraseological and stylistic levels of text is the most interesting and the most difficult. Expert analysis of the author's style is a time consuming process, so the attention is paid to the formal methods of attribution. Currently, to establishing the authorship of texts the following methods are used: the approaches of pattern recognition theory, methods of mathematical statistics and probability theory, neural network algorithms, cluster analysis algorithms, etc. Among the challenges to research the field of authorship attribution there is a problem of choosing formal parameters characterizing the text and style of the author, the sampling problem of reference texts. The software products are not focused on integrated study and results comparison. They are applied to various problems of analysis of text styles with different frequency characteristics and different test material. To find a new or improve existing methods of attribution of texts further research is needed. It is also important to carry out experiments aimed at finding features that allow to clearly separate the authors styles, including the small sample size.

5. Russia needs to develope original supercomputing technology to compete on the global high tech production market [№4 за 2013 год]

Nowadays mastering predictive supercomputer modelling while developing the high-tech products is nessesary for the country to competie in the global high-tech markets. These technologies are classified as strategic and are not available on a commercial basis. This circumstance has determined the dangerous technological gap between Russia and the world leaders in aerospace, automotive, power engineering industries. Russia has quite significant position in the global energy market. And this position is the basis of economic, military and political security of the country. Therefore, Russia should build a technological development strategy to keep the share of the global energy market that is sufficient for sustainable socio -economic development of the country. It is impossible without creating national predictive supercomputing technologies for modeling of extraction and processing of hydrocarbons. Using the latest technologies in high-tech supercomputer simulation in industrial production and hydrocarbon production requires the use of supercomputing with a productivity rate of 1018 operations per second (exaflops). As a consequence, it also motivates to develop domestic technologies for the creation of supercomputers, new physical and mathematical models, numerical methods, computational schemes as well as new technologies to create application software systems

6. Design of high reliability multiprocessor modules based on high-performance RapidiO interconnect architecture [№4 за 2013 год]

The paper contains the description of general approaches for designing and creating high-performance modules tolerant to the impact of external radiation factors and extreme thermal operation modes. The modules are based on the modern System-on-a-Chip (SoC) with technology-specific rules 180 nanometers or less. The article introduces the realization of these principles in the multiprocessor CP-RIO-64 module based on a chip (SoC) – 1890VM6IA. A new hardware-software technique for reliable program execution and a distributed control system for recovery are realized in the high-performance CP-RIO-64 module with RapidIO Interconnect Architecture. The RapidIO Interconnect Architecture is designed to be compatible with the most popular integrated communications processors, host processors and networking digital signal processors. It is a high-performance, packet-switched, interconnect technology. High Speed RISC Processor CP-RIO-64 module contains a RapidIO switch, several Systems-on-a-Chips, DDR SDRAM with ECC Support, Nand Flash memory blocks. The CP-RIO-64 module belongs to computer facilities. It can be used to create digital computer systems, which are carrying out real time data receiving by high speed RapidIO bus, preprocessing the signals (the space-time spectral analysis, the frequency ranges formation, the filtration and threshold detection) and also secondary, tertiary and general information processing including data exchange with other devices and systems.

7. Energy costs, speed and heat sink in microprocessors [№4 за 2013 год]

The paper analyzes the physical principles of energy expenditure in modern microprocessors. The most part of the energy consumption is irreversibly dissipated as heat and another is spent on making all necessary operations. Transition of consumed energy to the heat causes microprocessors heating. It results in reliability decreasing and changing static and dynamic electrical parameters of microprocessors, as well as overranging their performance charachteristics resulting in failures, malfunction, etc. Because of the controversial requirements for increase of microprocessors speed while reducing energy expenditure, the issue of the relationship between the electrical parameters of microprocessors and their thermal processes is given special attention. There are the estimates of the perspectives of the physical principles of heat sink in microprocessors at different heat output. From the point of view of the fundamental capabilities of different cooling methods the obtained dependences show that the assessment of the microprocessor power consumption is still far from reaching their maximum physical limitations.

8. Model of the automated quality management system in multiproduct machinery production [№4 за 2013 год]

The article shows the relevance of creation of the automated quality control systems in machine-building and instrument-making diversified industries. The necessity of quality control at all stages of the product lifecycle is proved. It is emphasized that principles of the quality management system are determined by ISO 9000standards. The article shows the typical pattern of phases and stages of products lifecycle for machine-building products. To identify a mechanism of information exchange and decision-making in an automated quality control system in multiproduct machine-building enterprise, its set-theoretic model has been developed. The enterprise quality management system is considered from the control point of view as a complex system which is represented by three-level hierarchy subsystems. The first level of an automated system is control subsystem that concludes with the quality of products and general events for its maintenance. Subsystems of the second and the third level determine and manage products quality at the stages of the product lifecycle. The structures of the input and output data of each subsystem-operator are considered. It is shown that the part of input parameters is determined by the requirements to quality of production. Information developed at each stage of the lifecycle of the product is evaluated. Because of the specificity of multiproduct machinery engineering and conditions of process design and industrial engineering, only the most important, from the quality perspective, information flows are analyzed. The article specifies that the developed model is the basis for the development of algorithms and software of the automated quality control system of multiproduct machinery engineering.

9. The algorithm of predesign researches and information systems modeling [№4 за 2013 год]

The predesign research is a strategic step in object designing process, it helps to make a decision on the level of competitiveness, assess the development prospects, the problem statement for the project, the complexity and feasibility of the system. Existing methods of predesign researches have a high degree of generality and are not formalized. They analyze the specific (single) prototypes aimed at finding out solutions to the current problems and disadvantages of a given prototype. So, there is a need to create a new cognitive technology of predesign researches to get the most complete information for this stage. The article describes the algorithm of the predesign researches and modeling of information systems. The implementation of the algorithm is required to solve the relevant scientific problem of increasing the pre-work effectiveness for information and technical systems development. The list of basic procedures is required for the pre-work for the stage of information systems conceptual design. This method will improve the efficiency of modeling process and pre-work for creation of information systems using a systematic approach for analyzing and synthesizing it.

10. Development of the software environment to support the systems functional structure analysis in the view of holistic property [№4 за 2013 год]

One of the fundamental systems’ attribute is a property of integrity. Description of its functional structure allows understanding that the system is very stable. The structure can be presented as binary oppositions that reflect the opposing structural relations between functional components and subsystems concepts. The main idea when building a binary opposition is the using invariant pairs of operations proposed by R. Koller in his method of design. Based on theoretical research a software system of technical systems analysis in the view of property of integrity is proposed. This system consists of three modules: constructive and functional analysis, Ishikawa diagram construction to consider a contrary-functional pairs of the system, writing a report using system expert evaluation regarding a property of integrity.
